Overview: A free and open-source Python library to facilitate the processing of GPS data, integration with GIS to derive distances from landmarks of interest, as well as extraction of activity space and shared space. GPS2space builds upon existing functions and includes all the necessary, tunable parameters as arguments for generating spatial measures in a straightforward and well-documented package that can be readily implemented by newer users. It is a versatile, handy, and extendable tool for researchers to harness the spatialities of GPS data to investigate a wide array of research questions regarding spatial-temporal variations of human behavioral changes and environment-population linkages.
